I Won't Amount To Anything

You know what doesn't make much sense to me....back when I was in Jr high and high school, my class contained about 8 kids. There were 2 of us who were in trouble ALL THE TIME. We had teachers and family members who constantly told us that we wouldn't amount to anything and that we would end up working at McDonalds for the rest of our lives. In my class, there were also a few "super students". They were the kids the teachers absolutely adored. They got the awesome grades and the pats on the back. Now, that it is several years down the road, I find it odd that both of the kids who were told they would never amount to anything and work at McDonalds the rest of their lives, one of them became a worship leader and the other became a youth minister. And you know what....our teachers and family members were right about 1 thing....We didn't amount to anything. We've been doing our best to follow someone who made himself nothing and took on the very nature of a servant. (Phil 2) It is my goal in life to prove my teachers and family members right....I don't want to amount to anything. Make me nothing as I follow the one who is my everything.
